Hyron Andrews' team-mates took to the field just a day after the 31-year-old's tragic passing…

The Lions played their European Champions Cup match against Stade Rochelais in honor of teammate Hyron Andrews, who died suddenly on Friday morning. The 31-year-old lock passed away following an accidental fall at the team's hotel in La Rochelle, South African Rugby confirmed. Lions players were seen in tears during an emotional pre-match minute of silence held in his memory.
Tributes included laying Andrews' number five jersey on the pitch and a stadium-wide applause in the fifth minute. Stade Rochelais players Dillyn Leyds and Salmaan Moerat presented a jersey to a Lions official, while Lions head coach Ivan van Rooyen emphasized that playing was about celebrating Andrews' life and supporting his family.
