The Lightning would be wise to pursue this Canucks forward.

Michael DeRosa of The Hockey News argues that the Tampa Bay Lightning should consider pursuing Vancouver Canucks forward Jake DeBrusk via trade to strengthen their top-six forward group. Following a strong 6-2-0 start to the 2026-27 NHL season, the writer suggests Tampa Bay will likely be buyers on the trade market and could benefit from placing DeBrusk on a second line alongside Brayden Point and Jake Guentzel.
The writer notes that DeBrusk has frequently been featured in trade rumors while Vancouver navigates a rebuild. DeBrusk has recorded three goals and five points in eight games to start the 2026-27 season, following a 2025-26 campaign where he produced 23 goals and 42 points in 81 games for the Canucks.
