Paul George sends strong, encouraging message on future with Celtics

Boston Celtics forward Paul George revealed in an interview with The Boston Globe's Gary Washburn that he hopes to make Boston his long-term home. Acquired by the Celtics in exchange for Jaylen Brown, George praised the organization's culture, front office, tradition, and locker room environment, calling the overall experience refreshing after becoming a journeyman in recent years.

Hardwood Houdini's Matt John notes that while George's enthusiasm is encouraging, his long-term future in Boston will depend on his regular-season performance and high contract cost. Although George experienced shooting struggles in the preseason, writer Matt John argues that George's defensive playmaking fits head coach Joe Mazzulla's system effectively.
