Lahore Qalandars owner Sameen Rana has expressed keen interest in joining the Bangladesh Premier League following discussions with Bangladesh Cricket Board president Tamim Iqbal. The two met in Abu Dhabi during Bangladesh's tri-series opener against Zimbabwe to discuss franchise cricket operations and potential involvement. Rana stated he would love to be part of the BPL if the right opportunity arises.
Beyond prospective franchise ownership, Rana suggested establishing a player exchange program with the BCB. Such an initiative would enable emerging Bangladeshi cricketers to train at the Lahore Qalandars' high-performance facilities in Pakistan, mirroring similar agreements the franchise has conducted with Zimbabwe and Guyana.
