The Detroit Pistons completed a routine but necessary piece of roster housekeeping over the weekend by waiving forward John Ukomadu and swingman Brice Williams, via the NBA transaction log.
The Detroit Pistons have waived forward John Ukomadu and swingman Brice Williams over the weekend ahead of the regular season. Both players had been signed to Exhibit 10 contracts for training camp. Because the cuts occurred before opening night, both will clear waivers on Monday with Detroit carrying no residual salary on its books.
Following the transactions, Detroit's roster stands in compliance with 15 standard contracts and three two-way deals. Both Ukomadu and Williams are expected to rejoin Detroit's G League affiliate, the Motor City Cruise, once waivers conclude.
