Tom Hart has been selected as the replacement for the McLaren-bound Gianpiero Lambiase.

Max Verstappen will begin working with a new race engineer, Tom Hart, starting at the United States Grand Prix. Hart is stepping in to replace Gianpiero Lambiase for three of the final six races of the 2026 Formula 1 season, which also include the Sao Paulo and Las Vegas Grands Prix. Lambiase is gradually reducing his trackside engineering duties ahead of a planned departure to join McLaren.
Lambiase will handle race engineer duties in Mexico City, Qatar, and Abu Dhabi while also attending the other three races as Red Bull's head of racing. Hart originally joined Red Bull in 2012 as an intern before rising to performance engineer in 2020. He had previously agreed to join Williams alongside Alex Albon before opting to remain at Red Bull following news of Lambiase's impending exit.
