The Twins should consider signing Jazz Chisholm Jr. if they move on from Royce Lewis.

Puckett's Pond writer Jackson Kruse argues that the Minnesota Twins should target New York Yankees free agent Jazz Chisholm Jr. as a short-term replacement if they move on from Royce Lewis this offseason. Chisholm is unlikely to receive a qualifying offer, according to Jon Heyman of The New York Post, potentially making him an accessible free agent signing on a one-year deal.
Kruse suggests Chisholm could play second base for a single season before prospect Marek Houston is ready for regular major-league infield duties in 2028. Chisholm posted 3.5 fWAR, 19 home runs, and 41 stolen bases in his most recent campaign, while Lewis recorded an 85 wRC+ across 125 games with Minnesota.
