AC Milan have reopened negotiations for Sporting CP centre-back Goncalo Inacio following an injury to Matteo Gabbia. Manager Ruben Amorim has prioritized signing a defender in January after Gabbia suffered a torn left hamstring with partial tendon involvement, sidelining him for at least three months. Milan had previously attempted to sign the 25-year-old on the summer transfer window's deadline day.
Pricing Inacio away from Sporting is expected to require an offer exceeding €40 million, though the player reportedly welcomes a reunion with Amorim. Bayern Munich defender Kim Min-jae has also emerged as a potential alternative, with Milan sounding out his representatives if a favorable deal can be reached.
