Serie A | Roma 2-0 Genoa: First time special for Castro and Lulli

Roma secured a 2-0 Serie A victory over Daniele De Rossi’s Genoa at the Stadio Olimpico on October 17, 2026. Santiago Castro opened the scoring in the 50th minute with an inventive looping finish, marking his first goal for the club. Academy graduate Emanuele Lulli doubled the advantage in the 68th minute after Matìas Soulé initiated a brilliant attacking move, also claiming his maiden Serie A goal.

The match featured seven Roma squad changes following their Champions League defeat against Real Madrid, coping with several injuries and a suspension. Genoa threatened through former Roma winger Stephan El Shaarawy, who hit the crossbar, but the visitors could not break through. In the closing stages, Genoa handed a Serie A debut to 18-year-old substitute Robinho Junior, the son of former Brazil international Robinho.
