Many young players are already making an impact for the Chicago Blackhawks, but it won't stop there. More players are on the way. Here are 3 Rockford IceHogs players Blackhawks fans should keep an eye on.
Douglas Schwamb highlights three Rockford IceHogs prospects that Chicago Blackhawks supporters should watch closely this season: Nick Lardis, Sacha Boisvert, and Marek Vanacker. Following early struggles in Chicago, Lardis was reassigned to the AHL to gain premium minutes on the first line. Schwamb views Lardis as a future bottom-six contributor who is currently finding success alongside Rockford teammate Gavin Hayes.
The writer argues that Boisvert displays elite potential despite being raw, noting his versatility could eventually push him to the wing due to Chicago's center depth. Meanwhile, Schwamb classifies 2024 first-round pick Vanacker as a longer-term developmental project who brings needed strength and power to General Manager Kyle Davidson's pipeline.
