European rugby is back this weekend, with the Welsh teams having named their sides for the opening round

Cardiff and Ospreys have made sweeping changes to their starting lineups for their European opening fixtures ahead of Steve Tandy naming his Wales autumn squad. Cardiff coach Corniel van Zyl made nine changes to face Northampton Saints in the Champions Cup on Sunday due to a five-day turnaround before their next league fixture. Taulupe Faletau, Sam Wainwright, and Steffan Emanuel are among the starters, while Josh Adams is named on the bench.
Meanwhile, the Ospreys made wholesale changes for their Challenge Cup match against Black Lion, naming full-back Lewis Edwards for his senior debut and Owen Watkin as captain. Additionally, Scarlets received a boost as back-row Taine Plumtree returned to the bench against Newcastle Red Bulls following shoulder surgery.
