Byron Scott bluntly slammed Cooper Flagg's comparisons to Larry Bird on Monday's episode of the "Fast Break" podcast.

Former Los Angeles Lakers player Byron Scott dismissed comparisons between Dallas Mavericks forward Cooper Flagg and Boston Celtics legend Larry Bird during an episode of the Fast Break podcast. Responding to DeMarcus Cousins' claim that Flagg is better than Bird, Scott asserted that aside from natural athletic jumping ability, Flagg does not match Bird's basketball skill level.
Scott urged analysts to stop comparing Flagg to Bird early in his career, noting Pete Maravich was the only player comparable to Bird. Flagg, who previously filmed a commercial with Bird, has frequently called the Hall of Famer his favorite player.
