Minnesota Vikings running back Jordan Mason has been designated to return from injured reserve on Monday after recovering from a thumb injury

The Minnesota Vikings have officially designated running back Jordan Mason to return from injured reserve, clearing him to practice on Wednesday ahead of Week 7. Mason had been sidelined since sustaining a fractured thumb in the season opener against the Green Bay Packers, where he rushed for 59 yards and a touchdown.
During Mason's absence, veteran running back Aaron Jones carried the primary rushing load, amassing 410 rushing yards while playing approximately 80% of offensive snaps. Mason's return is expected to relieve Jones and allow Minnesota to re-establish a more balanced backfield rotation.
