The Nuggets' bench has been surprisingly stout on defense. It'll receive a boost when Spence Jones returns.

Spencer Jones is expected to return from a training camp hamstring injury for the Denver Nuggets' season opener against the Oklahoma City Thunder. David Decker of Nugg Love writes that Jones' return will provide a major boost to Denver's bench defense, which has already impressed during the preseason alongside Marvin Bagley III and Alpha Diallo.
Jones' comeback will also challenge head coach David Adelman's rotation decisions, particularly regarding rookie backup Trevon Brazile. Decker notes that Jones shot 39.6% from three-point range last season, which will provide vital offensive spacing for DeMar DeRozan while slotting in behind starter Aaron Gordon.
