The New York Yankees are bringing back Aaron Boone for his 10th season as manager, multiple media outlets reported Monday. Boone, 53, will enter the final season of a two-year, $10.5 million extension he signed in February 2025.
The New York Yankees are reportedly bringing back manager Aaron Boone for his 10th season with the franchise. Boone, 53, is set to enter the final season of a two-year, $10.5 million contract extension signed in February 2025. Hired in December 2017 to replace Joe Girardi, Boone currently holds a 790-565 career regular-season managerial record.
Under Boone, New York has reached the postseason in eight of nine seasons while keeping alive a franchise streak of 34 consecutive winning campaigns. However, the Yankees were swept in the ALDS by the Tampa Bay Rays this fall, continuing a 17-year franchise World Series championship drought.
