Notes from around the NHL including good news on the way for Buffalo, an injury on the back end for Utah, and more.

The Buffalo Sabres expect defenseman Rasmus Dahlin and winger Jason Zucker to return to their lineup on Wednesday against Philadelphia. Dahlin has missed three games with a back issue, while Zucker is set to make his season debut after recovering from summer shoulder surgery. Buffalo must clear a spot on its 23-player roster to activate Zucker from injured reserve.
Elsewhere, Devils defenseman Brenden Dillon is expected to be a healthy scratch for a fourth consecutive game amid trade speculation. Meanwhile, the Flames placed winger Samuel Honzek on injured reserve with a lower-body injury, and the Utah Mammoth announced defenseman John Marino is day-to-day with an upper-body injury.
