Chelsea set for PL title challenge after Carrick validation and 15 words from Jordan Henderson

Football365's Will Ford argues that Chelsea have emerged as genuine Premier League title contenders under manager Xabi Alonso. Ford highlights Jordan Henderson's comments after a victory over Everton, in which the midfielder emphasized having clear mid-week preparation on the training ground, as a critical advantage Chelsea hold over their European-competing rivals.

To support the claim, Ford points to Michael Carrick's tenure at Manchester United, where a lack of midweek European matches initially yielded higher domestic success. While Chelsea still face squad issues including injuries to Emiliano Martinez and Reece James, defensive improvements alongside Moises Caicedo have stabilized the team.
