Kobbie Mainoo, Luke Shaw, Lisandro Martinez and five-other key stars were absent as Man United's training squad for Como is confirmed.

Manchester United manager Michael Carrick faces several selection headaches ahead of Wednesday's Champions League match against Cesc Fabregas' Como. Eight first-team players missed training at Carrington on Tuesday, including Kobbie Mainoo, Luke Shaw, Lisandro Martinez, Marcus Rashford, Ayden Heaven, and the suspended Leny Yoro. A 22-man group took part in the light session before flying to Italy.
While decisions will be made following late checks, the absent players appear unlikely to travel, leaving United's defensive options depleted. Mainoo has missed two games with a minor issue, Shaw has been sidelined twice this season, Martinez sustained a knock against Leeds, and Rashford is managing a hip problem. Patrick Dorgu and Benjamin Sesko remain long-term absentees.
