The Colts have moved on from Chris Ballard, but his history in Kansas City brings up the idea of a reunion.

The Indianapolis Colts have fired general manager Chris Ballard following a poor start to the season and a loss to the Tennessee Titans. Writer Leigh Oleszczak suggests the Kansas City Chiefs could emerge as a logical landing spot for Ballard, who previously worked in Kansas City's front office from 2013 to 2016 before joining Indianapolis.
Oleszczak argues that a reunion makes sense because the Chiefs have lost key front office personnel in recent years, including Ryan Poles and Mike Borgonzi. Additionally, Ballard's son Cole plays quarterback for the Kansas Jayhawks, which would provide personal incentive for a return to the region.
