UPDATE: The Sharks, fresh from an inspiring win in France this past weekend, received a significant boost.

The Sharks have received a major squad boost with several Springboks joining the team in Cardiff ahead of Friday's United Rugby Championship match against Cardiff Rugby at Arms Park. Eben Etzebeth, Ethan Hooker, André Esterhuizen, Ox Nche, Edwill van der Merwe, and Thomas du Toit linked up with the touring squad after being rested during the Sharks' 40-33 Challenge Cup victory over Lyon Olympique Universitaire in France.
Forwards coach Warren Whiteley confirmed the arrivals during an online media briefing, noting the focus is on tactical alignment and squad connection. However, uncertainty remains over whether Etzebeth will feature against Cardiff or in the subsequent fixture against Munster as he manages a minor lower-limb concern.
