How will Senators fans welcome Tkachuk back to Ottawa?

Following a Game 7 ALCS elimination by Toronto, the Seattle Mariners are preparing for crucial roster decisions ahead of the 2026 season. Manager Dan Wilson and president of baseball operations Jerry Dipoto addressed the team's future after winning their first AL West title since 2001, emphasizing their desire to build sustainable success rather than experiencing a one-hit wonder.

While Cal Raleigh and Julio Rodríguez are under long-term contracts, key contributors Eugenio Suárez and Josh Naylor are pending free agents. Dipoto confirmed that re-signing Naylor is a top priority, while rookie Ben Williamson remains an option at third base and Jorge Polanco faces a decision on a $6 million player option.
