The Buffalo Sabres may have their captain back sooner rather than later.

Buffalo Sabres captain Rasmus Dahlin stated he is ready to return to the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Philadelphia Flyers. The defenseman returned to practice on Monday after being sidelined for Buffalo's previous three contests due to an upper-body injury.
Dahlin suffered the injury after scoring a goal during an October 11 victory over the Florida Panthers. Sabres head coach Lindy Ruff indicated that Dahlin looked good in his return to practice as the blueliner looks to build on his four points through six games this season.
