Mercedes have revealed that they plan to bring a new front wing to the Circuit of the Americas this weekend for the US Grand Prix.

Mercedes will introduce an upgraded front wing across both cars for the upcoming US Grand Prix at the Circuit of the Americas. The aerodynamic update previously debuted during a single practice session in Singapore on Kimi Antonelli's car before being shelved for the remainder of that race weekend. The team hopes the new package will help narrow the performance deficit to Red Bull and Max Verstappen.
Deputy technical director Simone Resta and deputy team principal Bradley Lord explained that the brief trial in Singapore gathered valuable baseline data without risking pit-lane penalties. Because Mercedes had produced only one example for Singapore, the team chose to postpone racing the component until both cars could run the updated specification in Austin.
