Commentator Alex Jacques warned that Lewis Hamilton will fail to win a Formula 1 world championship with Ferrari if he continues to overrule the team's pit wall strategy. Hamilton recently diverged from Ferrari's strategy calls in consecutive races, securing a third-place finish in Malaysia after declining intermediate tires, but dropping to sixth place in Singapore after staying out under a virtual safety car.
Jacques stated on F1 Nation that ignoring team strategy mirrors the unsuccessful championship paths of past Ferrari drivers like Sebastian Vettel and Fernando Alonso. Pundits Ralf Schumacher and Bernie Collins also noted friction and a lack of trust between Hamilton and Ferrari, as Hamilton currently trails championship leader Kimi Antonelli by 111 points.
