Former Sheffield United ace Mark Duffy has left his role as Southport boss.

Former Sheffield United midfielder Mark Duffy has left his role as manager of non-league club Southport less than three weeks after taking the permanent post. Southport announced the departure followed the mutual termination of the 41-year-old's contract on Tuesday afternoon. Duffy had managed only two games as permanent boss since his appointment on October 1.
Duffy oversaw a 1-0 defeat to Harborough Town and a 2-0 loss to Radcliffe. The consecutive losses left Southport sitting 22nd in the National League North, three points adrift of safety.
