Napoli director Giovanni Manna assures coach Max Allegri ‘is absolutely not in doubt,’ but President Aurelio De Laurentiis wanted to be ‘reassured’ ahead of the Bodo/Glimt match.

Napoli sports director Giovanni Manna has firmly stated that head coach Max Allegri's position is not under threat following consecutive defeats. The reassurance follows a meeting between club president Aurelio De Laurentiis, Manna, and Allegri after a 1-0 Serie A loss to bottom-placed Venezia and consecutive Champions League defeats against Arsenal and Villarreal. Manna acknowledged that the club president naturally sought clarity ahead of their fixture against Bodo/Glimt.
Manna defended the squad against criticism regarding their advanced average age, pointing out key veterans including captain Giovanni Di Lorenzo, Amir Rrahmani, Matteo Politano, and Stanislav Lobotka. He noted that Napoli aims to sign younger players in future transfer windows to gradually refresh the team.
