Taulupe Faletau in talks with Wales boss as door opens to fourth World Cup

Wales head coach Tandy has refused to rule out Taulupe Faletau featuring at a fourth World Cup in Australia next year. The 35-year-old No. 8 made his return to action for Cardiff against Northampton Saints following a lengthy injury absence dating back to March. Although left out of the 39-man autumn squad, Tandy confirmed the door remains open for Faletau if he maintains form and fitness.

Tandy noted he has previously discussed international ambitions with Faletau, emphasizing that durability will be the key factor for selection. The veteran forward, who represented Wales at the 2011, 2015, and 2023 tournaments, must prove he can handle back-to-back matches before returning to the Test arena.
