Pedro Neto scored twice in the second half to lead Chelsea to a 2-0 Premier League victory over Everton at the Hill Dickinson Stadium. The result ended Everton's unbeaten start to the league campaign and moved Chelsea into fourth place. Neto scored his first goal right after the restart and added a second in the 90th minute.
The competitive fixture saw five early bookings and an injury to Chelsea goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez, who was stretchered off after colliding with Jarrad Branthwaite. Backup goalkeeper Mike Penders came on, and Martinez was reportedly taken to the hospital following the incident.
