The Mets are reportedly interested in interviewing John Mallee about a position on manager Andy Green's coaching staff.

The New York Mets are reportedly interested in interviewing Chicago Cubs assistant hitting coach John Mallee for a spot on manager Andy Green's coaching staff. Mallee has spent the past three seasons in Chicago and previously worked as a hitting coach for the Astros, Cubs, and Phillies, as well as an assistant with the Angels.
Mallee and Cubs hitting coach Dustin Kelly helped Chicago lead Major League Baseball in several offensive categories last season, including OPS, slugging, and runs. The Mets are restructuring their staff under president of baseball operations David Stearns, having recently dismissed director of hitting Jeff Albert.
