The 19-year-old experienced a medical episode on the team plane shortly after takeoff from the Salt Lake City International Airport and is in stable condition at a Utah hospital.

Pittsburgh Penguins forward Ben Kindel was hospitalized on Tuesday following a medical episode on the team plane shortly after takeoff from Salt Lake City International Airport. The aircraft returned to the airport, where an ambulance transported the 19-year-old to the University of Utah Hospital. The team announced that Kindel is conscious, alert, and in stable condition.
Team physician Dr. Dharmesh Vyas and medical staff immediately treated Kindel aboard the flight. The Penguins were traveling home following Monday's game against the Utah Mammoth, which concluded a four-game road trip.
