Inside Newcastle Q&A: Jaissle pressure, Hopkinson scrutiny, Dan Burn up front?!

In a Newcastle United Q&A, Chris Waugh addressed growing supporter scrutiny surrounding head coach Matthias Jaissle following three defeats in four matches. Waugh reports that there is currently no indication Jaissle's job is under immediate threat from the Newcastle hierarchy, though internal questions are being asked regarding tactical shortcomings and the decision to push Dan Burn up front late in matches.

The discussion also examined recruitment scrutiny aimed at CEO David Hopkinson and sporting director Ross Wilson following a £300 million summer spend. Waugh noted that young arrivals like £30 million midfielder Aladji Bamba have struggled for minutes because Jaissle does not yet consider them ready for regular Premier League football.
