All Blacks greats Justin Marshall and Kieran Read have reacted to Beauden Barrett’s standout performance in the 43-21 win over the Wallabies.

Former All Blacks Justin Marshall and Kieran Read praised Beauden Barrett's standout two-try performance in New Zealand's 43-21 victory over the Wallabies in Sydney. After limited appearances earlier in the season, head coach Dave Rennie started the 35-year-old veteran at fullback in Bledisloe II, where Barrett made a decisive impact across the first half.
Speaking on The Good, The Bad & The Rugby, Marshall praised Barrett's proactive attitude and described his second try—an intercepted pass returned 60 meters—as pure genius. Read also highlighted Barrett's elite game vision, leadership, and team-high 120 running meters during the contest.
