The Seattle Seahawks hosted pass rusher Kyle Kennard for a tryout this week. Kennard, who won the SEC Defensive Player of the Year and the Bronko Nagurski Trophy with South Carolina, was drafted in the fourth round by the Los Angeles Chargers in the 2025 NFL draft.
Kennard appeared in five games as a rookie before suffering an injury during joint practices with the 49ers and being waived by the Chargers on Sept. 4. Writer Jer'rel Coleman notes the Seahawks are examining bottom-of-the-roster developmental talent for their pass rush rotation.
