Girls’ flag football: Tuesday’s Southern Section playoffs scores

The CIF Southern Section girls' flag football playoffs opened Tuesday with first-round action across Divisions 1 through 6. In Division 1, Oxnard defeated South Hills 13-6, Beckman secured a 33-13 victory over Agoura, and Yorba Linda edged La Serna in a 44-40 shootout. Additional high-scoring Division 1 contests included El Toro defeating Warren 35-20 and Etiwanda claiming a 34-20 win against St. Margaret’s.

The second round across Divisions 1 through 6 will take place Saturday, followed by the quarterfinals on October 27 and semifinals on October 31. The Open Division opens Wednesday with pool play, featuring matchups such as Sierra Canyon at JSerra and Dos Pueblos visiting Newport Harbor. Championship games across all divisions are set for November 7 at Huntington Beach High.
