Some players are destined to make their biggest impact off the bench, but who are the top 10 Premier League super subs of all time?

BBC Sport senior journalist Alex Bysouth ranked the top 10 greatest super substitutes in Premier League history, placing former West Ham, Tottenham, and Bournemouth striker Jermain Defoe at number one. The rankings evaluated players based on their career consistency, goals, and assists when brought off the bench in top-flight fixtures.
Defoe claimed first place for holding the all-time Premier League record of 24 goals as a substitute, including five match-winners. Nwankwo Kanu ranked second with 17 substitute goals and 12 assists, while iconic Manchester United forward Ole Gunnar Solskjaer finished third, tied with Edin Dzeko for the best scoring rate of a goal every 83 minutes off the bench.
