Former Aston Martin team principal Otmar Szafnauer revealed that staff likely tiptoe around team owner Lawrence Stroll, comparing the dynamic to how employees treat the president of the United States. Speaking on the High Performance Racing podcast, Szafnauer explained that Stroll's immense ambition, ownership, and position as chairman make him an all-powerful and intimidating figure within the Formula 1 organization.
Szafnauer, who left the team ahead of the 2022 season, previously criticized Stroll for favoring high personnel turnover over patience.
