England teenager Thomas Rew signs a new deal with Somerset to keep him at the club until the end of the 2029 season.

Somerset wicketkeeper-batter Thomas Rew has signed a contract extension that keeps him with the club until the end of the 2029 season. The 18-year-old was recently named captain of the England Lions for their upcoming T20 series against West Indies A, making him believed to be the youngest captain in the team's history.
Rew, who earned his first senior England call-up and a developmental deal, will tour Australia with the national T20 squad next month. Since making his Somerset debut in 2025, he has scored 990 runs across 30 matches, including two County Championship centuries.
