The Chicago Bears’ tough roster decisions are going to continue after seeing depth options step up in a major way on Sunday, most notably when it comes to Zavier Scott.
The Chicago Bears face an upcoming roster dilemma regarding practice squad standout Zavier Scott following his strong Week 6 performance against the Atlanta Falcons. Scott played 21 special teams snaps and forced a critical fumble on kickoff coverage. Head coach Ben Johnson and special teams coordinator Richard Hightower both praised his preparation and physical impact following the victory.
A to Z Sports reports that if Scott receives another elevation for Thursday's game against the New England Patriots, it will mark his third and final standard elevation. The Bears must eventually sign him to the 53-man active roster to keep playing him, risking losing him to another team on waivers if left unprotected.
