Hector Patterson has been handed a new improved deal until the end of the 2027-28 season.

Edinburgh have secured the future of emerging 21-year-old scrum-half Hector Patterson by signing him to a new contract extension. The improved deal takes effect immediately and runs until the end of the 2027-28 season, fending off interest from English Premiership and French Top 14 clubs.
Patterson, who previously signed a one-year deal in April, has impressed across eight senior appearances following injuries to Ben Vellacott. Head coach Sean Everitt praised Patterson's potential as early URC leaders Edinburgh prepare to face the Lions.
