Harry Redknapp delivers brutal Michael Carrick Man Utd manager verdict

Harry Redknapp stated in his column that Manchester United manager Michael Carrick is "too laid back" and that he never initially envisioned him becoming a manager. Carrick is currently facing pressure after a five-match winless streak, culminating in a 2-0 Champions League defeat against Atletico Madrid, with his only wins this season coming against Ipswich Town and Sabah.

Redknapp argued that replacing Carrick would not fix United's issues, asserting the squad is incapable of finishing higher than fifth or sixth regardless of the coach. The club faces further complications following defender Lisandro Martinez receiving a fine for publicly criticizing technical director Jason Wilcox over summer recruitment.
