The 27-year-old said "we have a special team" and pledged to give Lakers fans everything he has this season.

Luka Dončić published a full-page advertisement in the Los Angeles Times on Wednesday to address Los Angeles Lakers supporters ahead of the season opener against the Golden State Warriors. Titled "Dear LA," the letter expressed Dončić's gratitude for the welcoming reception he received following his arrival and declared his intention to lead the franchise toward an NBA championship.
The message precedes Dončić's first full season as the Lakers' primary franchise player following LeBron James' departure to the Philadelphia 76ers. To prepare a reshaped roster for the campaign, Dončić previously organized a five-day minicamp in Slovenia to build team chemistry, emphasizing his commitment to leadership and promising maximum effort each game.
