Hal Steinbrenner Reveals Whether Yankees Still Have ‘World Series Or Bust’ Mindset

New York Yankees owner Hal Steinbrenner confirmed that the franchise retains a "World Series or bust" mindset following another postseason shortfall. Speaking at his end-of-season press conference, Steinbrenner maintained that winning a title remains the organization's primary objective and justified their heavy offseason investments, despite acknowledging that the team failed to achieve its ultimate goal as the franchise's championship drought reached 17 seasons.

Baseball Now notes that the Yankees relied on standouts like pitcher Cam Schlittler, Ben Rice, and Cody Bellinger, but missed Aaron Judge for most of the campaign. Steinbrenner, general manager Brian Cashman, and manager Aaron Boone now face an offseason aimed at addressing roster gaps, particularly at second base and third base.
