TSN OverDrive analyst Jeff O'Neill criticized Detroit Red Wings forward Dylan Larkin, arguing he should be embarrassed after botching his trade request. O'Neill and fellow panelists claimed Larkin and his camp severely misread the NHL market after initially limiting his preferred destinations before being forced to expand his trade list to 10 teams.
According to reporter Helene St. James, Larkin's expanded list includes Florida, Minnesota, Vegas, Dallas, Washington, Carolina, Utah, Tampa Bay, New Jersey, and Colorado. The Minnesota Wild have held trade talks involving Danila Yurov, but the Red Wings reportedly hesitated over the package, leaving Larkin's permanent trade status uncertain.
