Through no fault of Brandon Ingram, he had to wait. The Los Angeles Clippers traded away Kawhi Leonard to the Toronto Raptors this offseason, and Ingram was one of the pieces that came back to L.A. Except the deal didn’t…

Brandon Ingram will miss the Los Angeles Clippers' season opener against the Sacramento Kings as he recovers from surgery on his right heel performed in May. Ingram joined the Clippers from the Toronto Raptors in an offseason trade that sent Kawhi Leonard the other way, a deal that faced delays due to league investigations into impermissible payments. There is currently no official timetable for Ingram's return to the court.
The Clippers enter the season with multiple roster absences alongside Ingram. Bradley Beal is sidelined for injury management on his right knee, Max Strus has a partial tear of his right plantar fascia, Jordan Miller is out following left rotator cuff surgery, and Yanic Konan Niederhauser is recovering from right Lisfranc surgery.
