Raptors' season falls squarely on shoulders of Barnes, the face of the franchise who has grown into their leader…

Scottie Barnes and Kawhi Leonard each scored 23 points as the Toronto Raptors defeated the Chicago Bulls 135-92 in their regular-season home opener on Wednesday. Leonard made his official return to Toronto, but Barnes emerged as the central figure, guiding the Raptors to an early 43-23 lead after the first quarter and a 66-44 advantage by halftime.
Leonard struggled with his shooting efficiency, converting only 5 of 17 field-goal attempts while sinking all 11 of his free throws. Barnes posted 13 points, six rebounds, and four assists in the first half alone, while teammates Immanuel Quickley and RJ Barrett also provided strong contributions. The Raptors now head on a road trip starting Friday against Washington.
