The Utica Comets have won four of their first five games in the American Hockey League season thanks to their veterans leading the way, which has helped the Devils' prospects develop.

The New Jersey Devils' AHL affiliate, the Utica Comets, have opened the season with a strong 4-1 record behind the leadership of veterans who have embraced their roles. Head coach Ryan Parent has guided the team to early success, backed by solid defense and goaltending that allowed only 11 goals through the first five games. Veterans such as Stefan Noesen, Riley Tufte, and Zach Gallant have set a competitive standard for the roster.
Beyond veteran leadership, the Comets are benefiting from developing players like 23-year-old Gabe Klassen, who scored in a recent 5-3 victory over the Rochester Americans. The supportive team environment is also assisting top Devils prospects, including defenseman Anton Silaev and forward Lenni Hämeenaho, as Utica looks to maintain momentum throughout the remainder of the 72-game AHL schedule.
