The Eagles’ handling of Jalen Hurts’ blood clots has drawn scrutiny from the NFLPA, who called for an investigation into the situation despite approval from the league.
NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell announced that the league welcomes an NFLPA investigation into how the Philadelphia Eagles handled quarterback Jalen Hurts' blood clot condition. Goodell backed Philadelphia's medical approach and stated that league protocols were followed, echoing previous defense from NFL chief medical officer Allen Sills.
Hurts played in Week 5 in London and flew home before the clot moved, placing him on injured reserve. Despite the union's scrutiny, Hurts' representatives praised Eagles general manager Howie Roseman and released a joint statement with the club indicating mutual alignment.
