Victor Matfield believes the Springboks could show a more expansive side to their game during November’s Nations Championship Tests.

Former South Africa captain Victor Matfield believes the Springboks will adopt a more expansive playing style during the upcoming November Nations Championship Tests. Speaking on the Rugby Rivals podcast, Matfield suggested that head coach Rassie Erasmus will integrate more of attack coach Tony Brown's influence rather than relying solely on the team's traditional physical, pressure-based approach.
Matfield also expects Erasmus to introduce select young standouts alongside experienced core players during fixtures against Italy, France, and Ireland. However, he warned against making wholesale lineup changes ahead of next year's World Cup, advising that emerging talents should play with the best players to learn how to win.
