Terence Crawford predicted that Floyd Mayweather would convincingly defeat Ryan Garcia if the two meet in the ring. Crawford reacted on social media following Garcia's announcement that an agreement was reached to defend his WBC welterweight world title against the retired 49-year-old former champion at 147 pounds.
Crawford criticized Garcia for targeting an older opponent instead of prime contenders before making his prediction. Garcia recently defended his title against Conor Benn, while Mayweather's scheduled return against Manny Pacquiao was postponed to 2027. Skepticism remains regarding the matchup, as Mayweather has not publicly confirmed the bout.
