The Story in 60 Seconds

Western Australia batted out the final 28 overs with their last pair to secure an unlikely Sheffield Shield draw against New South Wales at the WACA Ground. Chasing 364 for victory, WA fell to 9-205 before injured No. 11 Joel Paris and wicketkeeper Joel Curtis blocked out 28.1 overs to finish unbeaten on 25 and 19, respectively.

NSW dominated most of the contest behind opener Sam Konstas, who earned player-of-the-match honors with innings of 71 and 151 not out. Despite surrounding the bat with every fielder during spinner Tanveer Sangha's late overs, NSW could not claim the final wicket and recorded their second consecutive draw.
